- THE RESTAURANT -
Hidden in busy Leicester Square, few steps away from the underground station, there is this small eatery with a huge sign written "正宗兰州拉面 Noodle Bar", which means authentic Lanzhou Ramen Noodle Bar. Small restaurant with red stickers menu items on the front window, narrow seats that you need to share tables and touch others elbow while eating. The noodle bar looks authentic. This is definitely not one of those fancy Chinese restaurants that you have to sit back, relax, have a nice cup of Chinese tea and dim sum. This is a really busy place that the waiters can't wait to kick you out of the restaurant so that other customer can take the table.
- THE LUNCH -
Slurping hot noodles soup is the perfect thing to do in such cold weather in London. What I love the most in this Sour Spicy Sliced Beef Dao Xiao Mian, is the texture of the noodles, freshly made, long, chewy noodle strands with a clear beef broth. Topped with few slices of beef, bak choi, coriander, and chopped spring onions.
- THE MENU -
The noodles are served in three variations: in a soup, dry, or fried. You can choose your own protein and vegetables. Everything ranged from £5 to £7.5.

- CHINESE NOODLES 101 -
In this noodle bar, they serve 2 kinds of noodles -- Dao Xiao Mian and La Mian. Lamian, normally thinner and is made by twisting, stretching and folding the dough into strands, using the weight of the dough. Dao Xiao Mian, also known as knife-shaved, knife-cut, pared noodles, or even peel noodles.
