- THE RESTAURANT -
Situated on Rue Saint-Anne, Happa Teï is perfect for a quick bite. The staff and chefs are all from Japan and waiters were amazingly sweet and accommodating. From far, you would not miss this cute octopus sign on top of this small Takoyaki stand. What I love the most about this place is the front window that allows you to spy the Takoyaki chef busy flipping the octopus-filled dough.
- THE TAKOYAKI -
Having pipping hot takoyaki (€8/6pc, €4/3pc) in the cold, winter streets in Paris during winter is so satisfying. Freshly made takoyaki, covered in traditional Japanese barbecue sauce, mayonnaise, aonori (seaweed powder) and a generous amount of bonito flakes. I think the Takoyaki is a bit softer than what I have normally, but the taste is good. It definitely cured my homesick a bit and how can you complain when you got nice hot food that warms up your stomach in cold weather.
- WHAT TO ORDER -

- WHAT ELSE? -
There is a dining area on the second floor. Apart from Takoyaki, they also serve freshly made okonomiyaki as well! Normally, they only give either mayo or Japanese barbecue sauce, but you can ask for both. They got other toppings such as chives and soy sauce.
